ASU graduation and game-day parties
ASU commencement in May and December brings a lot of families into town, and large restaurant tables can be hard to book on those weekends. A hibachi chef at the house lets the whole family eat together without a wait. We recommend booking at least one week ahead, including weekends and holidays. The same setup works for a football Saturday or an end-of-semester dinner with roommates.
Apartments, condos and smaller yards
The chef needs a safe, level and ventilated cooking area, so apartment balconies usually do not work. Most parties are cooked outdoors, but indoor cooking is also possible when the space allows. If you live in a complex, ask the property manager whether a courtyard, ramada or other common area can be used, and get permission before you book. For a small patio, send photos or measurements with your request.
What every meal includes

Are you insured?
Yes. Fortune Hibachi is fully insured. If your rental or venue has its own requirements, please let us know when you book.
Can you cook at an apartment complex or student housing?
Yes, with the property’s approval. If you’re hosting at a vacation rental or another venue, please check with the property owner or manager before booking to make sure outdoor hibachi cooking and open-flame equipment are allowed. Please share any property rules with us in advance so we can plan the setup with you.
We have fewer than ten people. Can we still book?
Smaller groups are welcome. Our $550 party minimum still applies, even if you have fewer than 10 guests. Please let us know your group size, and we’ll help you plan your meal.
Can I change the guest count after booking?
Yes, you’re welcome to add or remove guests. Please send us your updated guest count at least 24 hours before your event. We’ll adjust your estimate to reflect the change, with the $550 party minimum still applying. If you need to make a last-minute change, please call or text us directly at (602) 597-9078.
What is included with each hibachi meal?
Each meal includes fried rice, vegetables and a side salad. Adults choose two proteins, and children choose one. Your chef prepares the food right at your event, so you can relax and enjoy the experience with your guests.
Do you cook inside homes?
Yes, we can. Most parties are cooked outdoors, but indoor cooking is also possible when the space allows. Please tell us about your space before booking so we can confirm a suitable cooking area for your event.
Do you clean up after the event?
Yes. With every hibachi dinner, we clean up our cooking area and pack away all of our equipment before we leave. We take great care of your home, and we promise to leave your space exactly as we found it. If you add our table setup service, we take care of everything from start to finish: we set the tables, clear them after the meal and handle all of the trash, so you can simply enjoy the evening with your guests.
Do you use nuts or sesame products?
No—we do not use peanuts, tree nuts, sesame or sesame oil. Please let us know about every guest’s food allergies before booking so we can leave out any ingredients they need to avoid.
How do I pay?
For your remaining balance, cash or Zelle is preferred and can be paid at the conclusion of your hibachi experience. We also accept major credit and debit cards for your convenience. Payment details will be confirmed prior to your event.
